Donald L. Duster Scholarship

About Donald L. Duster

Donald L. Duster (1932-2013) was a business executive who spent much of his career working to help people in underserved communities gain access to education, housing, employment and decent services. He was a grandson of Ida B. Wells and one of the founders of the Foundation.

A scholarship was created in his name to give to one outstanding student per year at his alma mater, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The first $1,000 scholarship was awarded for the 2015/2016 school year. To date we have given out $2,000 in scholarships.
